Cayenne is a natural herb, containing an ingredient called Capsicum, used for centuries in food and remedies alike.
Cayenne pepper has no ill side effects, only a sting, which is nature’s cure or relief for many ailments.
Have you stopped to think lately, how many new diseases there are or how the old ones seem to be spreading and getting worse? How many people can you think of that have recently been diagnosed with; high blood pressure, hardening of the arteries, high cholesterol, diabetes, ulcers and stomach problems, rheumatism, arthritis, leg and muscle cramps, bad circulation, etc, etc, etc.
With our technology of today this seems to be going the wrong way, we should be ridding the world of these persistent bugs and ailments, not creating super bugs, able to withstand the “antibiotic age” which in fact become immune to our onslaught of drugs and create even worse havoc in our lives than in our ancestors day, when in fact, they had minimum medical technology to fall back on.
I feel, it has a lot to do with our new age methods of food production and storage, mass producing vegetables and meat, using pesticides and preservatives, making the most amount of money off of a piece of land, whether for crops or livestock, we are raping the lands of nutrients, ending up with tasteless vegetables and fruit, with very little goodness left in them.
Even health conscious people, eating daily portions of vegetables and fruit bought from the local supermarket, are not getting the vitamins they think they are, allowing our vitamin deficient bodies to succumb to disease.
The method in which we cook our food is also a factor as we boil the goodness out of the vegetables and then throw the most nutritious part down the sink, or we use oils and fats to fry our food, bombarding the body with excess fats that our organs have difficulty in managing.
I always look back to the laws of nature, when trying to solve a problem, and in nature, near every poison there is a cure, admittedly, our “poisons” stem from years of deterioration, but there is no better time than now to turn that around.
Herbs are nature’s cure, and none better than Cayenne Pepper, also known as, chili, red chili and capsicum.
Dr John Christopher, one of the greatest herbalists of the 20th century researched and used Cayenne Pepper, he took a spoonful of Cayenne in hot water, three times a day for years and cured his hardening of the arteries, enabling him to even get a clean bill of health at the at the age of 45, when being examined for an insurance policy.
Sprinkled on food, drunk with warm water, mixed with oils for topical rubs, Cayenne Pepper has numerous uses in alleviating pain, you might think that sounds ironic, how can something that burns your mouth or skin, reduce pain. Cayenne has an ingredient called capsicum that creates heat, which increases blood flow. It is simple, any ailment in the body needs blood flow to heal, weather it is a sore stomach or wound on the arm, the quicker and the more good blood that gets to an infected area of the body, the faster the body is able to heal itself.
Cayenne Pepper is the most efficient blood-moving herb on the planet; so if there is a life or death situation, know your Cayenne Pepper’s potential for stopping heart attacks, strokes and profuse bleeding. Cayenne balances the blood pressure in the body, equalizing and restoring balance of circulation, saving lives when at risk of bleeding out due to severe injury, stopping the flow of blood in seconds.
A Cayenne tincture, taken regularly can help to rebuild the heart, or in the case of a heart attack, a few dropperfuls of the Cayenne heart tincture, directly under the tongue or in the mouth can kick start the heart.
It is an antiseptic, killing Pathogens, it is also a counter irritant, helping to relieve pain, Cayenne is a Stomachic, which helps to digest foods, being a carminative, helps to expel gas.
The stronger the cayenne the better, when starting to use cayenne, use it with caution, start with small amounts and build up to spoonfuls, letting your body get accustomed to the burning and slowly increase amounts.
The Cayenne Pepper we find in the supermarkets are usually 30 000 – 40 000 Scoville heat units (SHU – a measure used to rate the heat of Cayenne), which is not advisable to use for the above remedies as it is weak and often has carrier and other impurities or additives. Look for pure Cayenne, with a SHU (Scoville Heat Unit) of 90 000 and up, there are numerous chili’s that can be used but the hotter ones being African Bird Eye (100 000 –200 000 SHU) and Habanera chili (300 000 and up).
These are good to use in the tinctures along with Hawthorn Berry for heart and Lobelia Seed Pod for breathing problems.
Much relief has been obtained using Cayenne Pepper oil for sprains, bruises, muscle aches and pains, bone pain and even Osteo and Rheumatoid arthritis, and many more aches and pains. Each Cayenne remedy is adjusted slightly for different ailments, I will be posting these different tincture formulas and methods on the blog from time to time, trying to help individual and specific needs.
